The snow has melted, the birds are singing, and I’m in the mood for cleaning! Yes, that’s right – I’m anxious to air the house of stale, winter air, and to clean out a season’s worth of dirt and dust. I’m in the mood to organize, declutter, and clean.

But Spring Cleaning is a lot of work, and I don’t have a lot of time — between cooking and cleaning up after my crew, keeping my toddler from emptying the kitchen cupboards for the 100th time, teaching my 5 year old to read and my 8 year old (and myself!) to diagram sentences, my days are already pretty much filled up. This year’s strategy however, will be to work through my spring cleaning over a whole month, and to get the kids as involved as possible.

I’ve made a pretty Spring Cleaning Calendar and Guide if you’d like to do the same — with options for both the month of April or May. So how ’bout if we get our homes clean and fresh together this month, and then enjoy the rest of the season outdoors?
